Epilepsy

Is a common condition that causes someone to have a seizure.  Seizures are caused by a sudden burst of activity in the brain causing interference to the way it would normally work.  Seizures affect people in different ways depending on which part of the brain had the burst of activity, but the most common symptoms are jerking and shaking, known as a fit, which can often cause the person to pass out and not remember what has happened to them.
