Skin 'n' Bones Connection - Issue 37 – 2013

Editorial: Coping with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis can be a lonely experience, and people often find differing ways to cope. One way is o seek advice and develop coping skills. Our cognitive behavioural therapy programme eTIPs (page 20) is designed to help people understand what causes negative thoughts and how to deal with them.

Another way to cope is to cover up and the British Association of Skin Camouflage explains (pages 10-12) how to get the most out o skin camouflage.

The goal for many will be a cure and although not imminent, the need for more research and developing further ways to improve services is being explored by the IMPACT research team in Manchester (page. 5-6).

However you decide to manage your condition you are not alone as many others are seeking similar advice which is evident from the statistics generated by the PAPAA website (page 7). The more informed you are, the better you will be able to cope.
