Coronary heart disease (CHD)

CHD is sometimes called ischaemic heart disease or coronary artery disease.  The main symptoms of CHD are chest pain (angina), shortness of breath, pain throughout the body, feeling faint, feeling sick (nausea). 
CHD is the term that describes what happens when the heart's blood supply is blocked or interrupted by a build-up of fatty substances in the coronary arteries.
