Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

Category: Other conditions

is also sometimes referred to as ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis).  As the name suggests the main symptom of CFS is extreme fatigue.  It can affect people of any age although it is more common in females and normally develops sometime between the ages of 20 and 40. As well as fatigue and feeling generally unwell other symptoms can include joint pain, headaches, sore throat, difficulty in concentrating, feeling dizzy or sick, and flu like symptoms.  In some people exercising can make the symptoms worse.
