Be part of the solution and make a difference
September is Pain Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness of the many ways pain can affect people’s lives and the importance of being listened to, believed and supported. The month brings organisations and communities together to improve understanding of persistent pain and its impact.
Pain can be physical and emotional. It may affect sleep, energy, movement, work, relationships and confidence. It is not always visible, and every person’s experience will be different.
For people living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, pain may be linked to skin symptoms, joint inflammation, stiffness, fatigue or other aspects of daily life. It can change over time and may be difficult to explain to other people.
Throughout September, PAPAA will be sharing trusted information, practical resources and supportive content for people affected by pain, as well as their families, friends and wider support networks.
Pain may not always be visible, but it always deserves understanding.
