Be part of the solution and make a difference
We know that living with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis does not begin and end on an awareness day. The need for understanding, reliable information, appropriate care and support is there every day of the year.
We know, too, that everyone’s experience is different. For some people, psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis may be visible; for others, much of the impact cannot be seen. Pain, fatigue, itch, disrupted sleep, reduced mobility, loss of confidence and worries about how others may react can all affect daily life. These experiences should not be dismissed or judged.
World Psoriasis Day, on Thursday 29 October 2026, is an opportunity to bring those everyday realities into sharper focus. Its theme, “Look Beyond My Skin”, is a reminder to look beyond assumptions about appearance, symptoms or diagnosis, and to see the person as a whole.
There are practical ways we can all help. Take time to learn from trusted information. Listen without judgement when someone shares their experience. Avoid making assumptions or offering unwanted advice. Challenge misinformation and unkind comments when you see them. Share understanding with friends, family, colleagues and your community.
World Psoriasis Day is one point in a year-round conversation. Understanding and support should be there every day.
