It is unbearably hard to perform in my job

| Category: Psoriatic Arthritis

I’m a 53-year-old counter terror police officer, I do a very stressful and tiring job that requires a level of physical activity, my treatment has been hit and miss to say the least. Methotrexate was a nightmare, currently waiting (for a long time) for a new course of action, my journey has been tough, stress, depression and anxiety have all played a big part as well as the physical symptoms of pain and by far the worst aspect for me is chronic fatigue, it is unbearably hard to perform in my job and to keep going when all I want to do is hide away. I am concerned for the future as my symptoms seem to be progressing aggressively and I am not sure what options I have left. The next couple of years will be tough but I guess what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger (so they say) let’s see.
