Be part of the solution and make a difference
Today, Wednesday, 29 October, marks World Psoriasis Day 2025, where millions of people across the globe unite in recognition of the challenges faced by those living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. As the official UK member of IFPA, we support this year's theme: "Psoriatic Disease and Comorbidities – Understanding the Domino Effect."
Psoriatic disease is more than "just a skin condition"—it’s a lifelong, systemic inflammatory disorder that increases the risk of related illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and mental health challenges. The domino effect of these comorbidities calls for joined-up care, early diagnosis, and better support throughout a patient’s journey.
How PAPAA supports the aims of World Psoriasis Day:
- Raising awareness about the systemic risks and emotional impact of psoriatic disease
- Sharing patient stories and real-life experiences
- Signposting to UK-specific resources, events, and support networks
- Advancing conversations with healthcare professionals, charities, and families
