Be part of the solution and make a difference
I’m 52 from Belfast, and psoriasis started when I was a teenager in the 1980s. It covered my scalp and body in thick plaques, flaking everywhere and itching constantly. I avoided barbers, beaches, and swimming pools, always hiding under long clothes even in summer. There was no internet for advice, just shame.
For 40 years, creams and steroid shampoos helped a little, but flares left my skin cracked and sore. In my late 40s, I got biologics at the Hospital. Within months, over 90% cleared. Last summer, I went to Spain and swam without covering up for the first time. It felt incredible.
