25 years to get a diagnosis

My psoriasis hit at 20, but joint pains in my fingers and feet were dismissed as wear and tear for 25 years. As a mechanic, I couldn’t grip tools anymore and lived on painkillers.

A rheumatologist finally diagnosed psoriatic arthritis. Methotrexate and physio eased it, though I semi-retired. Early checks matter with skin and joint issues.
